Laurie Norton MA MBE, is a Senior Research Director in the department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, where she provides oversight and operational leadership for a research portfolio that seeks to improve cardiovascular outcomes for disadvantaged populations. In her other hours, she is a writer and filmmaker, exploring themes of health, illness and aging. Her short films have been featured at multiple festivals. As an actor, Laurie has appeared on stages in Seattle, New York and Philadelphia. She has a BFA and Master of Arts in Theatre. She received her Masters in Bioethics in 2021 and Old Futures was her capstone thesis project.
