Green Change: A Micro-Community Garden

Join a micro-community garden

By Wendy Tobiasson

Team up with your neighbors, join or start a micro-community garden, and grow your own food. A group of 3-8 families can help share the work and benefits. Your garden gets more love, weeding fairies lighten the workload, and neighbors share in the bounty.

The Community Garden Team at UC Cooperative Extension and the Master Gardeners are promoting a program called “Grow An Extra Row” encouraging gardeners to donate extra produce to those in need. Join a micro-garden and create a more resilient food system in your community!
